Corruption Case Filed Against 11 in Aurahi Municipality

Kathmandu. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case in the Special Court against 11 people for widespread irregularities in the purchase and distribution of hand pumps in Aurahi Municipality of Mahottari.

The commission has filed a charge sheet against the then acting chief administrative officer, engineer, accountant, and other employees of the municipality, as well as suppliers, for violating the Public Procurement Act and regulations in the procurement process that took place in the fiscal year 2079/080.
