Weather Forecast: Moderate Rain with Thunderstorms Expected in Most Cities

Kathmandu. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has released the weather forecast for the major cities of the country for Tuesday. According to the forecast, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms in most cities of the country this afternoon. During the afternoon, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dadeldhura, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa, Simara, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Jiri and Taplejung will experience moderate rain with thunderstorms. Some places in Biratnagar, Dharan and Janakpur have a chance of light rain with thunderstorms. Today afternoon, the probability of rain in Jiri, Taplejung, Dhankuta and Okhaldhunga is up to 70 percent. The probability of rain in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal, Dhangadhi, Birendranagar, Nepalgunj, Jumla, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa, Simara and Dharan is 60 percent. The probability of rain in Biratnagar, Janakpur and Jomsom is only 40 percent. Today afternoon, the maximum temperature in Janakpur will be the highest, ranging from 32 to 34 degrees Celsius. In Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Simara, Biratnagar and Dharan, the temperature will reach 31 to 33 degrees, in Dipayal and Dhangadhi 30 to 32 degrees, and in Pokhara, Birendranagar and Kathmandu, the temperature will reach 27 to 31 degrees Celsius. In the mountainous and high hilly regions, Jomsom and Dadeldhura will have a maximum temperature of 21 to 23 degrees, Jumla and Okhaldhunga 24 to 26 degrees, and Jiri 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Tonight, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in most cities. During the night, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dhangadhi, Dadeldhura, Nepalgunj, Okhaldhunga, Dhankuta, Biratnagar, Dharan, Jiri and Taplejung will experience moderate rain with thunderstorms. In Dipayal, Birendranagar, Jumla, Ghorahi, Bhairahawa, Simara, Jomsom and Janakpur, there is a forecast of light rain with thunderstorms at night. Regarding the minimum temperature at night, it will drop to 15 to 17 degrees in Jumla, 14 to 16 degrees in Jomsom, 16 to 18 degrees in Jiri, and 17 to 19 degrees Celsius in Dadeldhura and Okhaldhunga. In Kathmandu, it will be 20 to 22 degrees, in Pokhara and Dhankuta 21 to 23 degrees, in Nepalgunj, Dipayal, Ghorahi and Dharan 23 to 25 degrees, and in Dhangadhi, Bhairahawa, Simara, Biratnagar and Janakpur, the minimum temperature will be 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
