Kathmandu. All civil servants working in bodies under the federal government will now receive salary and allowances every 15 days.
The Office of the Auditor General has issued a circular directing all subordinate offices to arrange for the payment of salary and allowances on a bi-monthly basis. The new system is being implemented in accordance with the policy guidance and budget statement of the Ministry of Finance, the office said. According to the Office of the Auditor General, employees working in bodies under the federal government will be paid salary and allowances on a bi-monthly basis after every 15 days of the month. The office has informed that the necessary arrangements have been made in its system for this. Salary and allowances for the period will be paid after every 15 days. It has been directed to pay the employee incentive allowance as per the budget statement through this process. The Ministry of Finance had made this arrangement from Baisakh with the expectation that the compulsion for government employees to wait until the end of the month would be removed and their daily cash flow would be eased by paying salary and allowances every 15 days.
