Nepal Receives Rs 3.77 Billion in Foreign Direct Investment Commitments in First Month of FY 2083-84

Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year 2083-84, Nepal received commitments for foreign direct investment worth Rs 3.77 billion. The Department of Industry has published statistics stating that foreign investment worth Rs 3.77 billion was approved for a total of 191 industries in one month.

According to the department's statistics, the tourism sector has the largest share of the total investment commitments in the month of Shrawan. Commitments worth Rs 1.63 billion (43 percent of total investment) were received in the tourism sector.
