Nepal Begins Selection Process for 99th Academy Awards International Feature Film

Kathmandu. The process of selecting films to compete in Nepal's 'International Feature Film Award' at the 99th Academy Awards (Oscars) has begun.

The Nepal International Feature Film Selection Committee-2026 has invited applications from films for participation. The committee, chaired by Laxmanath Sharma, has issued a notice asking Nepali films that meet the criteria to apply by September 7, 2026. Filmmakers interested in participating in this prestigious Oscar category must register their films at the committee's secretariat in Kathmandu within the stipulated deadline.
