Lumbini Development Trust Leadership Vacancy Halts Operations

Butwal. It has been about four months since the posts of officials and members of the Lumbini Development Trust became vacant, but new appointments have not been made. The absence of officials has affected the regular work of the trust, as well as policy decisions, long-term plans, and the implementation of the annual budget.

Following the authentication of the 'Ordinance to Make Special Arrangements for Public Officials, 2083' issued by the government on Jestha 19, the Trust's Vice-Chairman Dr. Larkyal Lama, Treasurer Dhundiraj Bhattarai, Member-Secretary Deepak Shrestha, and Council Members were removed from their posts. New appointments to the vacant posts have not been made since then.
