US Condemns Israeli Airstrike in Syria, Calls for Dialogue

Washington. The United States has condemned the Israeli airstrike on a military airport in Idlib province, northwestern Syria, calling it an unnecessary step to 'escalate tensions'.

Tom Barcak, the US President's special envoy for Syria and Iraq, said the White House is encouraging all parties to choose the path of dialogue instead of military action.
