One More Body Found in Makwanpur Flood, One Girl Still Missing

Makwanpur. The body of one more of the two girls swept away by the Basudev River in Basti Pur, Hetauda-19, has been found. The river had swept away four girls on Tuesday afternoon while they were returning from Nirmal Secondary School. One of them was rescued safely, and one was found dead. Two were missing. During the search operation that began early this morning, Binita Bhulan was found dead in the river, informed Madhav Prasad Kafle, spokesperson for the District Police Office. Class 5 student Sumitra Bhulan is still missing. Her search is ongoing. Among the four students swept away by the river, Reshma Syangtan (Class 2) from Raksirang-1 was found dead on Tuesday, while Seema Bhulan (Class 6) was rescued injured. She is undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital. Nepal Police, Nepali Army, Armed Police, and local residents are engaged in the search for the missing girl.
