Kanchapur Completes 1,220 Meters of Embankment Construction on Mahakali River

Kanchapur. Construction of 1,220 meters of concrete embankment has been completed in Kanchapur for flood control of the Mahakali River. The embankment has been constructed to reduce the damage caused annually to settlements and arable land on the river banks by the floods of the Mahakali River. The Irrigation and Water Resources Management Project Office, Kanchapur, has constructed the embankment at a cost of Rs 116.5 million.
Project Chief Ranjanraj Bhattarai informed that 507 meters of embankment on the Mahakali River in Dodhara Chandani Municipality and 255 meters on the Jogbuda River, and 458 meters of RCC embankment have been constructed in the area of the Dodhara Chandani suspension bridge in Bhimdatta.
