Nepali Congress Faction to File Supreme Court Case Against Convention Process

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress's establishment-fringe group is going to the Supreme Court demanding an immediate halt to the 15th General Convention process. The fringe group has decided to seek legal remedy after the establishment faction unilaterally revised and published the convention schedule while the dispute regarding the party's authenticity is still sub-judice in the Supreme Court.

Fringe group leader Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said that it was wrong to advance the convention process when the court had already allowed the case to be heard from the beginning. He claimed that this step confirmed that the establishment faction does not want to keep the party united.
