MP Raises Objection to 'Balendratantra' Term Used by Ram Bahadur Thapa

Kathmandu. National Independent Party (RSP) MP Sima Baskota has raised a point of order regarding the term 'Balendratantra' and other words used by CPN-UML leader Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' during his address in Parliament.

In the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, after Badal compared the current governance system to 'Balendratantra' and to the rule of Mahendra and Gyanendra, MP Baskota raised a point of order citing Rule 21 (d) of the Regulations and Article 76 and 17 (d) of the Constitution.
