World Mosquito Day Observed in Nepal with 'Small Bite, Big Challenge' Slogan

Kathmandu. World Mosquito Day is being observed in Nepal today with various programs organized under the slogan 'Small Bite, Big Challenge'. This day is celebrated to prevent diseases caused by mosquito bites and to spread public awareness about them.

Diseases such as malaria, dengue, chikungunya, kala-azar, scrub typhus, filariasis, and Japanese encephalitis are caused by mosquito bites. It has been confirmed that 168 species of mosquitoes have been found in Nepal so far.
