Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' Faces Controversy Over Parliamentary Remarks

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Vice Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' has been continuously embroiled in controversy over his remarks in the House of Representatives. Some leaders of the UML have expressed concern that this will cause serious damage to the entire party.

Despite strong opposition within the party to the remarks of Badal, who became the UML parliamentary party leader as a proportional representative MP and has a former Maoist background, Chairman KP Sharma Oli has not yet reacted. This makes his remarks increasingly mysterious within the UML.
