Kathmandu. The Special Court has convicted Nepal Police Technical SSP Lalbabu Giri in the corruption case related to fake educational certificates. The bench of Special Court judges Vasudev Acharya, Hemant Rawal, and Umesh Koirala has convicted him. Giri has been fined five thousand rupees after being convicted of a fake educational certificate. The Special Court convicted him after the Bihar School of Examination Board, Patna, wrote a letter stating that the roll number 718 submitted by Giri, who passed the certificate level from Bihar, was not found. Giri, who passed the proficiency certificate level in Bihar, joined the Nepal Police as an SI in 2052 BS by submitting a fake educational certificate and was recently working as an SSP at the Police Hospital.
