Cabinet Decides to Increase School Staff Salary by Rs 5,000; Protests Halted

Kathmandu. Following the Cabinet's recent decision to increase the salary of school staff by Rs 5,000 per month, the Nepal School Employees Council has postponed all its previously announced protest programs.

According to a statement signed by Council Chairman Gangaram Tiwari and General Secretary Shantinath Yogi, the government's decision is appreciated and has been accepted as a positive achievement of the movement. The Council has expressed gratitude to all professional organizations, the Teachers' Federation, and the media that expressed solidarity with the movement.
