Iran Permits Iraqi Oil Tankers Passage Through Hormuz Strait Amid US Tensions

KATHMANDU. Following repeated requests from Baghdad, Tehran has allowed some Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the strategic Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reported on Saturday.

"Despite facing the most severe military measures and insecurity created in the waterway due to the hostile actions of the United States, Tehran has allowed some Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Hormuz Strait in the past six months," reported the Iranian news agency IRNA.
