Landslide Affects 50 Houses in Tarkeshwor Municipality

Kathmandu. Around 50 houses have been affected by a landslide in Astaman Tole, Jaranghu, Tarkeshwor Municipality-6, during land excavation for house construction. According to locals, 4-5 houses are directly at high risk due to the landslide, and movement in the tole has also become problematic.

According to locals, the landslide problem appeared in the area only after a dozer was used to excavate land for house construction. Although excavation and house construction work have been ongoing for about two years, they complain that the construction work is progressing at a very slow pace.
