Bilateral security meeting dwells on curbing border crimes

Kathmandu, Aug 23: Security officials from four districts of Madhes Province of Nepal and those from adjoining districts of India held a meeting to curb border crimes. They decided to enhance joint border patrol and regular exchange of information on cross-border crimes.
An assistant chief district officer of Mahottari, Sanjay Kumar Pokharel, informed RSS that during a coordination meeting of Nepal-India Security Officers held in Jaleshwar on Saturday, the two-country officials discussed the strategies they could adopt for controlling border crimes, including arms and drug trafficking, human trafficking and safety and maintenance of border posts.
