Kailash Rural Municipality and CMC Hospital Sign Agreement for Health Services

Hetauda. An agreement has been reached between the Rural Municipality and CMC Hospital in Hetauda with the objective of providing easy, accessible, and quality health services to the citizens of Kailash Rural Municipality, a remote area of Makwanpur. The agreement was signed by Kailash Rural Municipality Chairman Lok Bahadur Muktan and CMC Hospital Chief Operating Officer Dr. Aakash Prajapati. With this agreement, citizens of the rural municipality will receive special facilitation and concessions in various specialist health treatment services available from the hospital. Chairman Muktan informed that this agreement has been made to expand access to specialist health services for citizens in remote areas. He said, 'Health service is a fundamental right of citizens. The rural municipality has prioritized reducing the compulsion for citizens in this area, which is predominantly inhabited by Chepang and Tamang communities, to travel far for treatment and to bring them within reach of quality services.' The rural municipality has also brought its own 10-bed hospital into operation under health infrastructure development. Arrangements have been made for citizens to receive health services from CMC Hospital by presenting citizenship, voter identity card, or national identity card issued by the rural municipality. Meanwhile, a free health camp was organized on Saturday with the initiative of the rural municipality and technical support from CMC Hospital. Specialists in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and neurology, ear-nose-throat, and orthopedic and trauma surgery provided services in the camp. According to the rural municipality's health branch chief Tilak Prasad Gautam, more than 350 locals directly benefited from the camp. Chairman Muktan also urged the citizens participating in the camp to receive further treatment from the hospital operated by the rural municipality if needed.
