Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel Assures Transparent Education Act Process

Kathmandu. Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has stated that the process of formulating the Education Act will be carried forward in a transparent manner. Speaking at a discussion held in the capital on Sunday among various stakeholders regarding the School Education Bill, Education Minister Pokharel emphasized the need to advance the under-construction School Education Bill, regulations, and policies in a way that provides practical and long-term solutions.

Education Minister Pokharel stated that a student-friendly Education Bill is the government's top priority. He pledged that the government would incorporate the voices of stakeholders not just in formal discussions but also in the form of laws and regulations. He stressed the need for coordination and clarity of authority among all three tiers of government (federal, provincial, and local).
