Karnali Chief Minister's Cabinet Incomplete After 27 Days Amidst Internal Party Strife

Surkhet. It has been 27 days since Mangal Bahadur Shahi was appointed Chief Minister of Karnali. However, his cabinet is still incomplete. In this period, he has taken a vote of confidence and appointed ministers sent by the ruling coalition partner CPN (UML). But he has not been able to appoint ministers for the ministries allocated to his own party, the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).

Questions are being raised about his capability, both within and outside the party, due to his inability to select ministers from his own party. On the other hand, the government's work has not only slowed down due to the government not being fully formed, but some policy decisions that should be made by the cabinet or at the ministerial level have also been stalled.
