US Warns Canada Against Trade War

Kathmandu. The Trump administration has warned Canada that seeking to win a trade war against the United States would be "foolish." After the failure of trade talks, a 50 percent tariff has been imposed on approximately $20 billion worth of Canadian goods in the United States. This is 5.5 percent of Canada's exports to the United States.

Canada has announced that it will impose retaliatory tariffs from September 8. The US Commerce Secretary said this would have a "devastating" impact on Canada.
