Bhote Koshi Flood Victims' Funeral Rites Performed with Effigies

Kathmandu. Funeral rites are being performed by making effigies of those who went missing in the Bhote Koshi flood. After the bodies were not found for a week, relatives have started the final rites with effigies made of Kush grass.

The number of people performing the funeral rites in this manner at Pashupati Aryaghat is increasing. As there is no possibility of finding the bodies and the hope of finding them alive has also died, relatives have started the final rites.
