Hetauda. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has taken a stance not to allow the Bagmati Province Assembly meeting to proceed until its suspended MP Uddhav Thapa is removed from his post. RPP Chief Whip Kumari Tamang issued such a warning at a meeting of the Business Management Consultative Committee held at the Parliament Secretariat in Hetauda on Sunday.
Speaking at the meeting, Tamang said, 'The appointment of the Chief Minister is not constitutional. Actions against the constitution are unacceptable. We will not allow the meeting to proceed until Uddhav Thapa is suspended as an MP.' Chief Whip Tamang presented all the official documents related to the action taken against Thapa to the Business Management Consultative Committee. RPP insists that the parliament cannot function smoothly unless the Speaker immediately takes action and moves forward with the disciplinary process.
