Bagmati Province CM Faces Uncertainty Amidst RPP Internal Dispute

Kathmandu. Bagmati Province assembly members are in confusion due to the internal conflict of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Two sets of instructions have been sent to the provincial assembly members regarding whether to give a vote of confidence to the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Kiran Thapa, or not.

After RPP Chief Whip Kumari Thapa gave a whip-accompanied instruction to the provincial assembly members not to give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Thapa, the Uddhav Thapa faction removed Kumari from the post of Chief Whip and appointed Dambar Tamang as the Chief Whip. The Tamang faction has instructed to give a vote of confidence to Chief Minister Thapa.
