Bagmati Province Assembly Meeting Operations Uncertain Amidst Party Disputes

Hetauda. Uncertainty has increased regarding the operation of the Bagmati Province Assembly meeting. The upcoming process of the Province Assembly has become uncertain after the all-party meeting called by Deputy Speaker Apsara Chapagain to conduct the meeting could not reach any concrete conclusion.

The Province Assembly meeting scheduled for 5 PM is likely to be affected as consensus could not be reached among the parties participating in the meeting. Meanwhile, the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, is preparing to 'politely boycott' the meeting. According to Congress Chief Whip Pukar Maharjan, the policy is to 'politely boycott' by not attending the meeting or walking out of the meeting instead of chanting slogans or protesting in the house.
