Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki Wins Third Vote of Confidence

Biratnagar. Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmatkumar Karki took a vote of confidence for the third time from the Koshi Provincial Assembly. He received 57 votes in favor of the vote of confidence proposal he put forward, while 22 votes were received in opposition. The number of MPs who said they would not vote was 4. Out of the 92-member provincial assembly, only 83 MPs participated in the vote division process.

The MPs who did not participate were 7 MPs from the main opposition party Nepali Congress and 1 MP from JSP. Among them were Congress Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Himal Karki, MPs Ram Khatri, Bhumi Rajbanshi, Mohan Maharjan, Lakhikumari Ganesh, Shamsher Rai, and Dolma Tamang. The only MP from JSP, Nirmala Limbu, also did not participate in the vote division process.
