Annapurna Region Road Damaged by Heavy Rains, Reconstruction Efforts Underway

Pokhara. The tourist area of Birethanti in Kaski was devastated by last week's continuous rain and landslides. The Annapurna Rural Municipality's Wards 8, 9, 10, and 11 have suffered significant damage to roads and other physical structures due to the floods and landslides.

The complete obstruction of the road has caused hardship for the residents of Ghandruk and tourists visiting this area. The lack of a road has halted the daily commute for locals and also impacted the tourism business. Currently, Ghandruk residents do not even have a safe pedestrian path for movement.
