Makwanpur. Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Kiran Thapa Magar is struggling to gather the support of 53 lawmakers to sustain the government. Chief Minister Thapa, who failed to secure a vote of confidence on Monday, is making a second attempt. Although the parliament meeting was postponed three times on Monday in preparation for the vote of confidence, disputes among the ruling coalition parties added to his challenges. To overcome this challenge, Chief Minister Thapa is preparing to seek a vote of confidence again. The Provincial Assembly meeting has been called for Tuesday (today) at 4 PM for Chief Minister Thapa to seek a vote of confidence.

On Monday, the agenda of the Provincial Assembly meeting, which included the Chief Minister's proposal for a vote of confidence, was thrown into uncertainty due to escalating disputes within the ruling coalition. The controversy within Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) regarding government support and dissatisfaction within the CPN (UML) over ministerial appointments led to the Provincial Assembly meeting being repeatedly postponed and eventually rescheduled for Tuesday.
