Bagmati Province Government Faces Internal Dissent Amidst Ministry Allocation Dispute

Some provincial assembly members of the ruling coalition partner Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) have reached Kathmandu on Tuesday to discuss with party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' expressing dissatisfaction with the process of forming the Bagmati Province government and ministry allocation.
Political pressure has increased on the government as dissatisfaction has intensified within the ruling party while Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar is preparing to take a vote of confidence. According to sources, disgruntled CPN lawmakers including Ganganarayan Shrestha, Krishna Prasad Khanal, Rajendraman Shrestha, Yuvraj Chaulagain, Ruku Chaulagain, Laxman Lamshal, Urmila Lama, and Om Kumari Shrestha have reached Kathmandu to discuss with party chairman Prachanda. They are preparing to present their views to the chairman, expressing serious dissatisfaction with the ministry allocation in the formation of the Bagmati Province government and the role of the party leadership.
