He wrote on social media - 'I retract my statement made a few days ago while giving an interview to some social media journalists that a fine of Rs. 50,000 should be imposed. I announce the following. Please forgive me if anyone has been hurt inadvertently. Those who disregard traffic rules, please think with your hand on your heart.'

He further wrote, calling it a 'strict announcement' - 'From today, I will not give an interview to any YouTubers, social media, or journalists, big or small, for one year, except on extremely important public interest matters. Not a single word. A few days ago, when I said I didn't know much about traffic fines, they kept probing and asking. I said that those who disregard should be fined, and the Rs 50,000 figure was brought up by them. What will the country and society become if those who disregard and commit crimes are not fined and punished appropriately? Imagine for yourself.'
