UN Chief Condemns Attack on Peacekeepers in South Sudan

Kathmandu. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has strongly condemned the attack on a United Nations peacekeeping mission patrol in Jonglei State, South Sudan, which resulted in the deaths of two Ethiopian peacekeepers.
According to the Secretary-General's spokesperson Stephane Dujarric, an unknown armed group attacked the patrol of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) on Monday. Three Ethiopian peacekeepers, two South Sudanese police officers, and two civilian staff of UNMISS were injured in the attack.
