Congress 'Hassle': Supreme Court Case and Internal Disputes Delay Convention

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Election Committee decided on September 2nd to start the convention for the 15th General Convention by holding ward conventions on September 10th. However, against this, the president of the Central Working Committee elected from the 14th General Convention in November 2078, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court to stop that convention process.

The Supreme Court administration registered the writs filed by him and former Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka on Tuesday and scheduled the hearing for Thursday, September 11th.
