Petrol Shortage Hits Tehran Amidst Rising Demand and Infrastructure Damage

Tehran. Long queues have been seen at various petrol pumps in Iran's capital Tehran as petrol shortage begins.

Some pumps have had to temporarily close service after running out of petrol, Iranian media reported. The sudden increase in demand for petrol is said to be due to damage to oil storage and distribution infrastructure during the ongoing war, US sanctions, and fears of rising inflation.
