East-West Highway Upgrade Progresses in Kanchanpur-Kamala Section

Kanchanpur. The upgrade work of the East-West Highway (Mahendra Highway) under the Kanchanpur-Kamala road section has gained momentum. Under the project, blacktopping work is currently in full swing in the Mahuli area of Saptari.

The total physical progress of this road, being constructed by the Chinese construction company 'China Railway No. 2 Engineering Group Co., Ltd.', has reached 72 to 75 percent. The deadline for this project, which started on November 13, 2020, has been extended for the fourth time until the end of December, as the work could not be completed within the target period.
