Communications Minister stresses on promotion of factual and responsible journalism

Kathmandu, Aug. 25: Minister for Information and Communication Dr. Bikram Timilsina has viewed that while the communication sector is undergoing transformation alongside rapid technological advancement, freedom of expression, press freedom, citizens’ right to information, and the public interest should remain at the core of the communication system.

He underscored the need to bolster democratic values and editorial responsibility, credibility and factuality while embracing new technology, digital platform and artificial intelligence (AI).
