China, India hold border talks, agree to continue search for boundary settlement

The talks come as Beijing and New Delhi seek to stabilise ties after the deadly 2020 border clash and a four-year military standoff, with both sides agreeing to maintain dialogue and hold the next round of negotiations in India in 2027.

China and India agreed on Tuesday to continue dialogue and seek a “fair, reasonable and mutually acceptable settlement” of their border issue ‌after talks between senior diplomats in Beijing.
