Raghuganga Rural Municipality Road to be Paved

Myagdi. The Ghumainetal-Mauwaphat road connecting the center of Raghuganga Rural Municipality, Mauwaphat, will be paved. The road connecting Ghumainetal on the Kaligandaki Corridor to the rural municipality center Mauwaphat via Piple will be paved with the support of the hydropower projects operating in Raghuganga Rural Municipality. The road, whose route was opened two decades ago, has started the road improvement and paving project, informed the chairman of the rural municipality, Bhab Bahadur Bhandari.

"The 6 kilometer 400 meter road connecting Ghumainetal to the rural municipality center Mauwaphat from the Beni-Jomsom road of the Kaligandaki Corridor is being paved", he said, "The road improvement and paving project is being advanced with the cost sharing of 80 percent by Raghuganga Hydropower, a subsidiary company of Nepal Electricity Authority, the promoter of the 40 MW Rahughat Hydropower Project, and 20 percent by other hydropower projects completed and under construction within the rural municipality."
