During the Second World War, British computer scientist Alan Turing deciphered the Enigma code which was not just a wartime intelligence accomplishment, but also a foundation for modern computing. The Enigma was the German cipher machine which worked as a catalyst for logic, helping turn plain text into a scrambled code while encrypting radio signals. It has been credited to aiding the allies in defeating Germany in World War II and is considered one of the contributors to the development of algorithms that run modern AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the current times.
