Flooding Threatens Dhading Settlements; Evacuations Underway

Dhading. Settlements along the banks of the Trishuli River and other rivers in Dhading are at risk due to floods coming from Rasuwa, prompting the administration to rapidly relocate them to safer places. As the floodwaters have reached the Galchhi area, efforts to move the general public residing in the coastal areas to safe locations have been intensified.

According to Dhading's Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandey Gautam, the flood has already washed away a suspension bridge in Galchhi. As the water level continues to rise, settlements along the riverbanks in the Malekhu and Galchhi areas are being prioritized for evacuation. All teams of the security forces have been deployed in the field to prevent any human casualties.
