Flood Causes Major Damage in Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot

Kathmandu. Flood originating from China's land has caused major physical damage in Bidur Municipality of Nuwakot. Due to the flood on Wednesday, coastal areas of various wards of the municipality have come under high risk, and along with two recently constructed concrete bridges, many houses have been swept away.

According to Prabha Bogati, Deputy Mayor of Bidur Municipality, the flood has caused great destruction especially in the Simchaur area of Ward No. 4. Two concrete bridges, which were only laid the foundation for and constructed one to two years ago, have been swept away by the flood in that area. After the flood entered the market area and settlements, houses, banks, and other physical structures there have suffered complete or partial damage.
