Kathmandu. It is suspected that the water level in the Bhote Koshi river suddenly increased on Wednesday morning due to floodwaters coming from the upper region towards Tibet after a glacial lake burst. The flood has caused significant damage in various areas of Rasuwa, and settlements around the Trishuli river are also at risk.
According to Narendra Pariyar, Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, it was not raining in the district headquarters area at the time of the flood. Therefore, it is estimated that the flood may have been caused by some natural event in the upper region. Initially, it is suspected that a glacial lake may have burst in the Tibet region.
