100 Dead in BhoteKoshi Flood, 28 Police Missing

Kathmandu. The death toll from the flood in BhoteKoshi, Rasuwa has reached 100. So far, the bodies of 100 people have been found, police spokesperson (DIG) Abi Narayan Kafle told Ratopati. Bodies have been found in the riverine areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan and Gorkha. DIG Kafle informed that efforts are underway to identify the bodies found.

28 police personnel who were caught in the flood are out of contact. The flood in the Lhende River, which came from Tibet, China, around 9 am on Wednesday, mixed with BhoteKoshi in Rasuwa and caused great damage. Armed police personnel working in Timure and Mailung in Rasuwa have also gone out of contact due to the flood.
