Rasuwa Flood Update: Rescue Operations Underway

Kathmandu. The rescue of injured and at-risk citizens due to the flood in the Bhote Koshi river in Rasuwa will be carried out from Thursday morning via helicopters of the Nepali Army and private sector. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, in a meeting held late Wednesday night, decided to mobilize air transport for the swift rescue of those stranded and at risk in the affected areas.

As per the authority's decision, the injured rescued from the affected areas will first be treated at camps established in the Nepali Army barracks in Dhunche, Rasuwa, and Bidur, Nuwakot. Prioritizing the condition of the injured, those with critical conditions are being prepared for immediate rescue and brought to Kathmandu for further treatment. The authority has stated that the rescue operation will be managed by classifying and treating the injured based on their health condition and proceeding with the transportation process accordingly.
