IFRC Pledges $1.2 Million for Flood Victims

Kathmandu. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has pledged immediate assistance of NPR 189,622,000 (USD 1.2 million) for the search, rescue, and rehabilitation of those affected by the severe floods in the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, which were caused by floods originating from Tibet.
The IFRC stated that its volunteer emergency response teams have become active and have already begun search, rescue, and relief distribution in the affected areas, urging for continued efforts in disaster response.
