1,204 Bodies Found After Bhote Koshi Flood in Rasuwa; 4,216 Missing

Kathmandu. The bodies of one thousand 204 people who died in the Bhote Koshi flood in Rasuwa have been found in various districts. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 115 bodies were found in Rasuwa, 155 in Nuwakot, 60 in Dhading, 69 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahu, 348 in Chitwan, 217 in Nawalparasi East, and 202 in Nawalparasi West.

Out of the bodies found, 95 have been identified and claimed by their families. The authority stated that four thousand 216 people went out of contact due to the flood in the Bhote Koshi of Rasuwa on Bhadra 10. 301 people were injured in the flood. The authority stated that 11 thousand 993 people have been rescued so far. 21 thousand 314 security personnel have been deployed in the flood-affected areas.
