Narayani River Embankment Construction Progresses in Nawalparasi

Nawalparasi. To control the erosion of the Narayani River, a 6.5-kilometer embankment has been constructed on the Narayani River in the current fiscal year 2082/83. The Irrigation and Water Resources Management Project Office has stated that 5.5 kilometers of embankment have been constructed in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) this year alone.

According to the office's Information Officer Engineer Sagar Poudel, a total of 6.5 kilometers of embankment has been constructed in various locations in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) this year alone to protect settlements on the riverbanks that are at high risk from the river.
