Heavy Rains Disrupt Traffic on Major Highways Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Due to continuous rainfall, floods and landslides in various parts of the country have severely affected traffic on major highways. According to the details released by the Nepal Police this morning at 6:35 AM, obstructions have been seen on roads from the main gateway connecting to the capital to the roads in the hilly districts.

Due to landslides in Chisopani, Chandragiri Municipality-2, connecting Kathmandu-Dhading, the road is currently operating only one-way. Similarly, on the BP Highway's Kavre section, considering the risk of floods, only cargo vehicles up to 10 tons are allowed to travel at night, and during the day, arrangements have been made to operate vehicles only after considering the situation.
