Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City's Acting Chief Sunita Dangol has appealed to all to unite in the work of managing the human crisis arising from the BhoteKoshi flood with restraint. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by the unimaginable disaster, she has urged to come together for humanitarian assistance to rescue and provide relief to those awaiting rescue, to resettle displaced families, and to free citizens in fear from their anxieties.
Stating that the Metropolitan City is responsible for its duties in crisis management, she has urged all three tiers of government, security agencies, people's representatives, social organizations, the private sector, and the general public to be mobilized in an integrated manner. 'This sorrow should not just be seen as news. Our small help can save someone's life. Therefore, I heartily appeal to help with whatever you can through rescue, relief materials, transportation, or health services.' Dangol appealed.
