Pokhara Metropolis Demolishes 51 Structures at Amar Singh Chowk

Pokhara. Pokhara Metropolis has bulldozed the shutters and shacks in Amar Singh Chowk, which has been mired in controversy for a long time. The 51 shacks located next to the Prithvi Highway were removed by bulldozers early Tuesday morning.

Ward Chairman Santosh Bastola said that shacks have been rented out on this land, which is within the jurisdiction of Amar Singh Secondary School, since 2038 BS. He said that the shacks were removed by agreement in coordination with businessmen, the school, and the ward.
